I am Victoria Smith, a proud member of the Riverhead Central School District community, with over twenty years of combined service as Unit President, Local 870 Secretary, and AFSCME Delegate.

Throughout my career, I’ve worked tirelessly to support, protect, and uplift our members. I’ve been honored to receive the Staff of the Year award, representing the dedicated RCSD School Teacher Aides. I initiated our first Labor Management meeting to ensure our voices are heard and our needs are addressed. I proudly stood with fellow union activists during the “NEVER QUIT” campaign, and I took our message directly to lawmakers — including Assemblyman Fred Thiele and Senator Anthony H. Palumbo — during our Region One CSEA trip to the Albany Legislative Chamber.

I’m running because I believe in the power of unity and advocacy. I want to be a strong, reliable voice for YOU — the members of our union and the working families we represent.
